Hello

I have a registration form, when I add a new entry, the email address provided in the form is used as the "Created By" field. Also, the user ID is updated to that email address.

This makes no sense whatsoever. Created by in WordPress and Formidable is a user id. You need someone to take a look t what you're doing.

I followed this guide, but the 'Created By' field is showing the newly registered account instead of the user who created it.

I am totally lost on what you're asking. Neither the WordPress users table nor the Formidable items table have field called created_by. The knowledgeable documentation does not mention 'Create By' field either because I scanned that document for the word 'created'. I have absolutely no idea what you are speaking about. Please rephrase you question and be very specific and detailed about what you want to do and what you have done to get you here to ask this question.

In the Formidable Forms entry view, there is a 'Created By' field on the right side. I expected this to show the user who submitted the form, but instead, it displays the newly registered account

I guess you didn’t understand when I said please explain your process in detail. What is the registration process? How is your form designed? Who is entering the data in the form? Who is being registered? Are you using repeaters? Details?

You are looking at a descriptive label on a screen. It is not a field name. A problem cannot be identified without details.

Here’s my setup in detail:

1. Registration Process:

I created a user registration form using Formidable Forms, following this guide.

2. Form Design:

The form collects basic user details like name, email, and password to register a new account.

3. Who Enters the Data?

An existing logged-in user fills out the form to register a new user.

4. Who Is Being Registered?

A new user account is created based on the form submission.

5. No Repeaters:

I am not using repeaters in this form.

6. Issue:

After submitting the form, when I view the entry in Formidable Forms, the 'Created By' label (on the right side of the entry view) shows the newly registered user instead of the user who submitted the form.

That all sounds correct. When you create a user registration, the registration entry is owned by the registered user. If you think you’ve found a bug, open a ticket with Strategy 11.
