Hello,   I would like another tip on the easiest way to solve the following problem. I created a form that allows users to post events. When the form is completely filled out and submitted by the user, it ends up in the entries. Everything ok so far. I would now like to add #tags to the respective entry myself.
These #tags should be displayed in the details page, e.g. #hardrock, #rock, #hiphop etc. I then want to display these tags on the homepage in the front end in the foot area, e.g. #hardrock, #rock, #hiphop etc. As soon as a visitor to the homepage clicks on one of the tags in the footer area, only those entries that I have marked with the tags should be displayed. I can't find a way to do this and I'm currently on the line.

I would also like to solve it using categories.

Actually like here in the forum, the user can also specify tags at the end and if you click on one of the tags, all posts that contain this tag appear. I just want to enter these tags myself. I could solve this in the forum with the tag field (visible only to administrators). But how do I get these tags on the front page of the homepage so that they are visible and clickable?

Who has an idea? I would be happy to get a tip. Kind regards Susan

I suggest creating an admin-only field for your tags. That way only the admin can set them. Then, for your links, add the tag(s) as a URL parameter so the view can filter on them.

but how do I get the keyword of the category to be displayed as a link?

Where are you displaying it?

Susan Schorstädt replied 4 weeks ago

I would sort the tags or categories alphabetically in the footer. and when the homepage visitor clicks on a word or tag, all entries that were set with the word/tag or with the category should be displayed.

Create a view to to put in the footer and the links in the view can display another view to show the data based on URL params.

I don't understand how I can set the parameter as URL.

Can't this be solved more easily using taxonomy? I don't think this option is formidable.
It should be possible to divide the entries into different categories and create a kind of table of contents with all categories. If I click on a category, all events or entries in the respective category are displayed.

Sounds like you are wanting an entry to act as a post. Why not have you entries create posts? https://formidableforms.com/knowledgebase/create-posts/
Maybe create your own custom post types and then create posts from entries that way: https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-ui/

I actually did that now.   Problem, Formidable does NOT pass an image as a featured image for a post.   My taxonomies are now finally displayed in the footer. But as I said, the results page only shows the title of the post/entry.  In the Actions section I can select the Post Title field, but no post image.
