Formidable → ACF: mapping one form to multiple ACF field groups?

Problem

I’m using Formidable Forms Pro + ACF Pro.

    • One form creates a custom post type

    • That post has multiple ACF field groups attached (same post type)

    • I need to populate fields across all those groups from one form submission

What I’m seeing

    • ACF Mapping in Create Post only works for one ACF field group

    • Fields from other ACF groups can’t be mapped

    • Custom Fields mapping writes post meta, but ACF fields stay empty (no _field_key

Question

Is there any supported workaround to:

    • Map a single Formidable form to multiple ACF field groups, or

    • Save ACF fields correctly (with field keys) without custom PHP?

If this is a known limitation by design, can you confirm?
Thanks — just want to validate before building a custom save handler.

Have yi=ou tried using multiple actions, one for each field group?

Hi, It only allows one field group to be populated.

Support have just confirmed this is a product limitation - only php code can overcome it.

Thanks.

<p>Quote from the support team:</p><p>Thanks for the detailed write-up and screenshots. I understand what you’re trying to do with the ACF group field and Formidable Forms. This is currently a limitation by design: the Create Post → “Map form fields to Advanced Custom Fields” option lets you select one ACF field group (singular) to map fields from that action. This will require custom PHP to extend that functionality.</p><p>While we currently do not have a built-in way to support this feature, we appreciate your feedback and believe it could benefit many other users.</p><p>While our support team doesn't determine our future product roadmap and so can't make any promises in terms of what we will and won't take on as a company, I have logged this as an idea for our product team's consideration. Our admin team and developers regularly review these feature requests, so you can be assured that we will keep this on our radar as we plan out our roadmap for the future.</p>
