Rory, the previous question you asked about this same issue was answered by Rob Levine. The problem is your theme's CSS sets the background and foreground colors to white. This has nothing to do with Formidable. You need to fix you theme as Rob pointed out. I'm closing this thread to further comment since your question has been answered twice already.
