Hey Andrew,
I spent over an hour last night writing you an answer. Then I inadvertently navigated to the previous page and lost it all! Did you ever hate and love something at the same time? For me, it's writing online. Okay, only sometimes. I'm just kidding,
Really, I should know better by now that when I create an answer that requires technical explanation to get to the truth, I should write it offline and copy and paste later.
That's what I'm doing with your answer right now. Well, in a way.
Your answer is technically feasible, but the technology that may need to be implemented to guarantee pinpoint object location and coordinate integration with Formidable could result in a project with big budget implications because it requires a specialist in one of the components of the integrated architecture. That's why I am 1, throwing up a warning flag to give you a heads up about what your could be asking for, and 2, I'm handling your answer differently than I normally do.
This is a good Q/A post for the Formidable Masterminds audience because of the depth of the technical explanation. It also contains a referral to the specialist I curated for the the Formidable Masterminds Developers Directory. He's the absolute best and most well known for what he does in this specific type of integration. I explain what you should ask and how you should ask it in the way he understands. He is not a Formidable expert by any means.
So if you decide to scope out the true bottom line for a pinpoint project, you need to ask him for a consult and if it's within your budget, you might want to consider committing to a proof of concept. If you do that, you'll need to hire someone to handle the Formidable side if you can't do it yourself. The integration is a two-way channel that needs to be built to communicate the pathways accurately and repeatedly.
I'm posting your answer on my site first for my people to read and when it's published I'll post a link to it here. I'm titling it "Be Careful What Your Ask For".
And p.s., you do have low end budget choices depending on how accurate you want the plot points to appear over the images. Pinpoint accuracy costs because development takes place at the pixel level.
I promised you a response. Here's the article: https://formidable-masterminds.com/be-careful-what-you-ask-for/
