Hi, I want to auto-populate an Address Field, in a form, with the User's address, stored as meta data in the user's profile. I've used the smart value [user_meta key="Address"]  The problem is, that this only populates the first line of the address, but with the WHOLE address.  I cannot find anywhere on FF support and docs, that would indicate how to split populate the address field with this meta data. I hope that makes sense? Dominic

How are you adding address details to the WordPress user record? Are you using the user registration add-on? And, are you aware that an address field is not a field at all in the truest sense of the word and that it is really an embedded form? As an embedded form, the address is a form entry in its own right apart from the parent form entry. I'd like to understand more details about your process.

Victor,

Apologies for delay in responding to your quesiton. This last week has been manic.

I'll try and best explain the process.

1. A client registers on the site. That registration includes their address
2. When the form is submitted, the address is added as meta-data. (Not sure if this is necessary).
3. The client will be logged in.
4. They go to a form to request a pickup from FedEX.
5. I want the "collection address" on this form to be populated by the address they entered when registering on the site.

I had thought it would be easier to pull this address from their "registration form" - that didn't work
So, I then tried to pull it from the User Meta data - that didn't work.

I hope that makes sense?

Thank you

Dominic

Something is definitely wrong because what you want to do is common. There's no reason to store addresses as usermeta unless some other app needs to access the data as well. I think you need to have someone look at the handshake between the FedEX form and the address. Is the FedEX form a Formidable Form?

Victor,

That's what I thought. I didn't think it was an esoteric requirement.

Yes, it's a Formidable Form.

I'll double-check that I've not done anything silly and then go back to FF support.

Thank you for coming back to me.

Dominic
