I have noticed that when the date field is positioned at the lower half of the display (on mobile) that it will determine whether the date picker appears above/below the date field.
 
Reason for fix: As you'll see in the video (date picker issue), each time the date picker is used to select from either MM, DD, or YY it shifts the date picker controls up and above the viewable display area. This makes for a tedious process to scroll up 3x for a complete date selection. 
The second video (intended result) shows the intended result. When the date field is first selected ABOVE the displays halfway point (on mobile) the date picker appears below the date field, keeping its controls for selecting MM, DD, or YY viewable and eliminating the need to scroll up 3x for a complete date selection.
 
Question: Is there a way to force the date picker to show up underneath the date field regardless of the date field display position?
