Checkbox (lookup) to Lookup (dropdown)

I want to make a selection in a Checkbox and have that selection auto populate into a Lookup field

Checkbox
Country 1
Country 2

Lookups
Country.      Status.       Date

I can make the Lookup show the selections from the Checkbox, and then Country 1 needs to be manually selected

But I would like the Lookup to auto populate with Country 1 (when selected) and still have Status “looking at” the Lookup

Is this possible?

Lookup fields are populated from lookup forms. While you can add an option programmatically in the browser, it won't be a permanent part of the lookup field until you write the value to the lookup table.
