Creating a preview from a link

I have a website that contains a blog where users can submit posts but I need a way for users to be able post a link (say to a news article) and this is turned into a preview of that link (similar to how if you post a link as a status on Facebook it will generate a preview of that link), is this possible with formidable forms and if so how?

A Facebook Link Preview is a clickable box that contains an image from your link, the title of the link, and a short description of the content. Formidable can certainly create links for you, but to preview them on the front end requires custom front end jQuery code or you may be able to use the Bootstrap Modal add-on to create a popup window with the content.
