Display entry views with layout view using multiple columns

I am trying to display all user entries in a view layout. However, using layout view the number of columns is limited to 4 which is weird. Can anyone tell me how to add more? Much appreciated.

You can have many more than 4 columns. Click on the "Manage columns" link and select the fields you want to display in the view.
