Hello,
I love formidible forms and use it a lot for interactive engagement agreements, collection client information etc.etc.
But we have a few serious problems at the moment we need to solve to be able to carry on using it properly.
When you hit submit it takes anything between 20 seconds and a minute for forms to submit and get a whirly circle in the meantime. This is causing some clients to give up as most website forms or websites don't make people wait that long.
Site is on a dedicated server with 16 Mg ram fast processor etc and the site has been give "unlimited" resources to is not restricted.
This week clients are now having to click on submit twice to get forms to submit which is causing a lot of problems.
The first time they click submit at the end of a completed form (with all compulsory questions answered fine) they get the following message ion screen in red on a red background..
"There is a problem with your submission . Errors are marked below. Form token is invalid. Please refresh the page".
There is NO error message below the message.
Plus, they don't have to "refresh the page" (and that does not work anyway) they simply click the submit button again gets the form submitted. But the error message does not tell them to do that so people are simply giving up and not submitting important forms.
Can any one help as thus is causing us a serious problem now.
Really hope someone can help as big fan of formidible but this is causing us a very serious issue now.
Cheers
John
Found this in the forum about the Invalid token:
frm_form_token_check_before_today - Formidable Forms
But not sure when to post the code adjustment, is that in formidible somewhere or maybe via one of the code plugins available?
Will still have the long wait for submission issue I think if there is any solution for that...
I would not start looking to apply fixes without understanding the root cause of the problem. Have you enabled WordPress debug? Have you checked the browser console for errors? Have you checked server logs, checked for malware, plugin conflicts, etc.? If there were a problem with Formidable, it would be pervasive and more than one person would post about it. Thank you Victor for the explanations, appreciated and for the clarification this is separate to Strategy 11. Still a useful recourse here.
