Preview button not working

I have created a new form but when I update the form then click on the Preview button on the top right of the page nothing happens.  I do have some other forms where permissions are set to certain roles. Not sure if that affects all forms.

Check your browser console for errors.

not sure how to do that using safari but also other things are weird too.  Like if I want to adjust who can see a spastic field it has this squiggly line over the down arrow and won't allow me to assign view to just a group
