When I apply a custom style to one form it applies it to all the other 68 forms I have even though the other forms show a different applied style.

Im having an issue where some of my forms are on a color background with white text and other on white with dark text. If I change on forms style to a new style it automatically applies it to all forms even though the other forms still say it has the other style applied. What is happening?
