Thanks, Rob. That's the one, although I thought it had an example of filtering that didn't require a page refresh, and an example with buttons instead of checkboxes. Most likely wishful thinking. Thanks for the assist!🙂
If you want no page refresh you can either use DataTables or WPDataTables (though it depends on how much data you have). As for buttons vs. checkboxes I don't follow.
Re: buttons v checkboxes - Think of an app with categories of tagged content and there are buttons to tap for filtering by category or tag, rather than checkboxes, radio buttons or dropdowns.
Especially useful on mobile, where the target area of a checkbox or radio is so much smaller for a finger to target than a button. Buttons can also present a far lighter cognitive load (when implemented well) than multiple scrolling or auto-fill dropdowns.
Dunno about you, but nearly *all* my users are on the edge of screen fatigue on a daily basis. Anything I can do to make an experience easier on the eys, brains, and fingers is aces in my book.🙂
Have you looked at the options section of the field definition and changed Simple to either Images or Buttons?

Hi Rob. Thanks for the links and suggestions! I have indeed made great use of the radio and checkbox as button option. Love that feature. One of my biggest wishes: the same for *dynamic* radios and checkboxes. 🙏
I have no power to make that happen, so I suggest reaching out to Formidable. They're generally willing to accept requests.
