I have two forms on a page that both reference the same customer.
(I cannot use one form because formidable only allows one credit card field per form) When I open the page that has both forms on it, I could open it to a specific entry ID, however these IDs are not going to be the same, therefore I write the ID of the first one to a hidden value field in the second form.

My goal is to open the page with the fields in edit mode
The first form opens fine as I'm using the standard ID 
But
The second form needs to open based on a field ID value not an entry value.

Could someone share with me what that shortcode syntax would be as I do have the entry ID in the HTML parameter?  I've read and tried so many things,
I'm using JS to write the entry ID to the second form hidden value field.

The following works only for the Entry ID: [frm-field-value field_id=x user_id=current html=0] [formidable id=16 title=false description=false]

If I'm understanding you correctly, you want to open two forms in a one-to-one relationship where each Form A's entry id is the link to the related content in Form B. Is that correct? If so, I suggest you look at this shortcode: https://formidableforms.com/knowledgebase/set-values-to-be-used-in-custom-displays-or-default-values/
