My form has a Name field that saves duplicate values.  In the Advanced options section, I've set the default values for first and last using [first_name] and [last_name] shortcodes, respectively.  If the person's name is John Doe, the form saves "John Doe John Doe".  How can I fix this?

Not sure I completely understand. If you're using the standard Name field, you can use a userID field and then set the default using Smart Values. Hope this helps.

The [first_name] and [last_name] shortcodes use the get_current_user_value() function to retrieve their values from the WordPress user object. Check the user's entry in the wp_user table to make sure the first and last name fields don't hold the full user name.
